Luke 12: 2-7
(Luke 12: 2-7)
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be
revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in
darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear
in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. And I say unto you my
friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more
that they can do. But I
will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath
power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Are not five sparrows
sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even
the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of
more value than many sparrows.
It highlights
the fact that God created humans, "you are more valuable than many
sparrows." Many churches make humans idols. However, we must know that
"Humans were built to reveal the glory of God." Man is nothing more
than a creature. So we must be afraid of God. After Jesus talks about the
sparrow, in Matthew 10:32-33, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before
men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever
shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in
heaven. '
Only those
who acknowledge the power of God will confess Jesus Christ. Salvation is not
determined by our confession of Jesus, but is saved only when Jesus confesses
before Heavenly Father. So, only those who are in Jesus will be saved.
Salvation
must be made by Jesus Christ. Only those who fear God receive Jesus Christ sent
by God as Lord. Those who fear the Lord recognize the Lord's sovereignty. In
Matthew 10:29, ``Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them
shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 』The price of a sparrow is determined by humans, but the life of the
sparrow is in the hands of the Lord. In 10:30, "But the very hairs of your
head are all numbered. The Bible tells us to fear only God and not to fear
anything else. Proverbs said, ``Fearing other things is a snare.''
