Luke 11:5-8

(Luke 11:5-8)

And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

When it comes to "lend me three loaves," there are many people who think that if you persevere in prayer until you hear something from God, he will give it to you. Praying other than saying that God will give it has no effect. Although it is spiritual content that God will give, we can see that most of the content of human prayers is earthly. However, some of the people in the church boast that they have been answered after praying for things of this world. Who gave it to that person? Is it God or Satan? It is the fact that God does not give anything but promises to give. So, for what God says he will give, we must pray that we can receive from God.

In Luke 18:1, "And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;" He told the story of an unrighteous judge and a widow. It means to pray for What must be done. It is not that I am asked to constantly pray for what I want, but to pray that what God will give will surely come true.

When one of his disciples asked for a way to pray to Jesus, Jesus said the Lord's Prayer, and he said the words of Luke 11:5. "Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight," where "midnight "" means that the place without Jesus is at night. Although Jesus came into the world as a light, someone's friend means those who do not have Jesus. Someone's friend came to his house while on a trip, and there was nothing to feed him. So, someone is trying to borrow three loaves of bread from another friend. The word travel means a traveler. Everyone living in this world is a traveler.

Those who have left God (travelers) came to someone. Since that friend has come, someone has to give you the word of God, but since he has nothing to eat, he asks another friend to borrow three loaves of bread. I have nothing to feed means that someone has no word of life. It is Jesus who has the word of life. Someone told another friend, "Look for three loaves of bread," but the other friend means Jesus. The three loaves of bread mean the word of God. There was bread in the Old Testament temple. It means the God who made it out of three. That's why God's word of life: "Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. It is not given to someone because of being a friend, but to lend the bread because of supplication. What is supplication?

The three loaves of bread are the words of life that we are strangers and have a hometown to return to. In the parable of the lost sheep in Matthew's Gospel, the story is that a shepherd leaves ninety-nine on a mountain and goes out to find a lost sheep. The mountain means Mount Zion, where the city of Jerusalem is located, or Israel, and the nine sheep are the Israelites. However, one lost sheep is the Gentiles, those who do not know God. Jesus, the Shepherd, goes out by acting as a Gentile. After Jesus ascended to heaven, the disciples of Jesus went to the Gentiles under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If anyone asks to borrow a loaf of bread (the word of life), Jesus will surely give it.

Jesus finished the parable of the three loaves of bread in Luke 11:5-8, and in 11:9-13, And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Jesus said that if you ask for three loaves of bread, you will not only give it but also the Holy Spirit. You must earnestly seek the word of life and save a lost soul.
