Luke 19:28-48

(Luke 19:28-48)

And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.  And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?  And they said, The Lord hath need of him.  And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.  And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,  Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.  And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,  And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

Hosanna is a word derived from the Hebrew word meaning save me, and expresses joy and victory. In the Old Testament times, the Israelites cried out and praised the God who gave them victory, saying, "Jehovah, Hosanna" (Psalm 118:25), and "Blessed, O he who comes in the name of the Lord" (Psalm 118:26). This verse was praised by the people on feasts such as Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacle, and they shouted Hosanna and shook palm branches. When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the people greeted Jesus by laying branches on the road, repeating the above Psalm (118:25-26).

Jesus' name on earth is Jehovah God in the kingdom of God. Those who are in Christ can call Jehovah God the Father. No one can call Jehovah God the Father. Only those who repent and are born again of water and the Holy Spirit can call on the name of Jesus. Calling on Jesus' name is like calling on Heavenly Father.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Here, "to call" is the Greek word "epicaleomai". This is what Ananias said in Acts 22:16 when the apostle Paul was baptized, "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. And in Romans 10:9-10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Anyone who goes to church will know this.

In 2 Timothy 2:19, ``Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Here, the name of the Lord is the name of Christ, not "Everyone who calls on the name of Christ has been saved", but is saying "Go away from injustice." It means that calling on the name of Jesus does not mean that you will be saved. Here, the word ``calling'' is a Greek word for ``even ono'', which is called ``Jesus.'' The word ``Epicaleomai'' means ``Jesus'' as the surname of Jesus. It means that the son calls the father. But most of the church people call him father, not a son.

When Jesus went up to the temple, there were a lot of people doing business. Jesus drove them out and told them not to make my father's house a commercial house. The Jews ask, "What signs will you show us to do this?" Jesus said, "Treat the temple, and in three days I will raise it up." He said that the Bible is referring to the temple of one's own body. Even the disciples did not know the meaning.

This means that since this temple is no longer needed, I will give you a true temple. The disciples realized it only after Jesus was resurrected. It is the temple that God is with. Since the true temple has come, the temple, which is the shadow of God's name, must be removed. When Jesus' disciples were walking with Jesus looking at the temple and talking about the beautiful temple, Jesus said, That temple will fall without any stone left.

In the Gospel of Matthew, the disciples were so shocked that they asked again. When will that happen? And what will happen to the end of the world? In Luke's Gospel, Jesus said, "If you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, realize that the destruction of Jerusalem is near." Jesus said to his disciples, "Do you not see all this?" What did Jesus mean? That is, "Do you not know the relationship between this building's temple and Immanuel's temple, Jesus Christ?"

The building, the temple, is a shadow, and it means that Jesus Christ came to the true temple. That is why he is saying that this building, the temple, is unnecessary, and that the shadow must disappear. In the same context, Jesus said to the Jews to destroy the temple. Today, most church people don't know what Jesus means to his disciples, "Don't you see all this?" and what Jesus means to the Jews, "Destroy this temple." Of course, the Bible explains that it is the resurrection of Jesus, but in fact it means that the building of the temple is the shadow of the true temple and is no longer needed. Even today the people of the church do not know, could the Israelites know? However, if the Israelites properly searched for this law, they would have no choice but to know.
