Luke 18: 28-34
(Luke 18: 28-34)
Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed
thee. And he said unto
them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents,
or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in
this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. Then he took unto him the twelve, and
said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written
by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For he shall be delivered unto the
Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: And
they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise
again. And they understood
none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the
things which were spoken.
Jesus tells
his disciples that he will die in suffering and be resurrected on the third
day. 』. The Messiah they think is just the Messiah who
works miracles, so they think of it as the Messiah who rules the world, and
later they wanted a place on the right and left sides of Jesus. When the other
ten disciples heard this, they became angry. Not all of the disciples were
interested in Jesus' ransom death.
『 But Jesus said unto
them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be
baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? 』 The cup and baptism Jesus is talking about means death. The disciples
will also drink the cup of suffering.
Jesus Christ
died of man's sin, the most grievous death in the world. That death is the
death of sinners. Sinners who repented and entered Christ were judged. That is
why God redeemed it when he saw that the repentant sinners also died because of
Jesus' death. Jesus was born into this world in a body to save sinners (to
die). Those who repent and are united on the cross have their sins passed on to
the dead Jesus, and Jesus' death is recognized as the death of a sinner. That
is why the righteousness of Jesus, who rose from the dead, is passed on to
those who are in Christ.
For those who are in Jesus Christ, sin is
passed on to Jesus and righteousness is passed on to sinners. This becomes
faith through mutual relations. Faith is not unilateral. That is why sinners
cannot be saved unless they repent. Since repentance is considered a confession
of sin in many churches today, faith is considered one-sided. And they think of
salvation too easily. People think in a way that "if I believe, I will be
saved." And it is because many people who preach the Word do not say the
important words of removing the clothes of the old man, but speak in a way that
if they accept Jesus, they will be saved.
Since Jesus
made atonement for the sins of believers, the sins of men can be washed away
with the blood of Jesus. However, receiving the forgiveness of sins is not the
key to salvation. The key to salvation is that the old man who sins must die
before he can be saved. The old person who thinks of himself (self) can only be
saved when he dies. Jesus died instead for all sins, but he did not die for the
root of sin. The root of sin must die. However, the result of sinning is what
man cannot help. So, the word faith can be said to be the faith of the dead of
the old man.
Those who
have the root of sin do not have faith, but the dead receive as a gift of faith
from heaven. This is grace. Jesus died instead, and in 『Whoever believes in this will be saved』, it
is said that it is correct or wrong depending on whether the old man was dealt
with.
The old man
must die in union with Jesus, who died on the cross. This is the process of
death, and regeneration is the process of death. Baptism is the secret of
rebirth through the process of death of the old man, and is the core of
salvation. There is a difference between the people living today and the time
and place where Jesus died on the cross of 2000 years and the region of the
Middle East, but dying together in unity is the revelation and mystery of
Christ, and it is a supernatural work that only God does.
The Bible
calls this “new creation”. If a believer believes in the whole universe of God through his
Word, he will also believe it. The Bible was not written in a scientific way.
The Bible says that all people on earth are like a prison under the wrath of
God. That is why God is not saying that he loves everyone in the world. God
loved man before he sinned, but he did not love sinners. If you doubt this, you
have been deceived by the devil.
Sinners are
born with the nature of their original sin. So humans continue to sin. It means
that even though we believe that if we repent of our sins, God will wash away
the sins of the world with the blood of Jesus, but God does not forgive even
the old man, the nature of sin. That is why God does not forgive sinners. It is
not that people will repent of the sins of the world, but when they realize that
I am an old man to God and die with Jesus on the cross, God forgives all sins.
Salvation did not begin until the old man died. So to say that if you believe,
you will be saved, the old man said to him.
