Luke 22:31-34

(Luke 22:31-34)And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.  And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Peter gave up everything and followed Jesus, with no doubt that Jesus was the Son of God. Jesus admitted, "This cannot be done without God's revelation." And Vidro was the one who learned the Word of God every day, believed it, and experienced miracles the most. He even cast out demons and preached the gospel in Jesus' name. But Jesus is asking Peter to turn his heart. It means that it is not salvation unless we turn back. What to turn from? It is to turn from the life in which you are the master. This is repentance. It is God's will to turn back. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:22-23)

Why does Jesus give up his own master life? It is because it is illegal from God's point of view. The master of all humans is God. However, humans are the owners. Not to mention those who do not believe, it is illegal to exercise faith without repentance. What Jesus says to Peter is the same as what Jehovah God says to the Israelites in the Old Testament, or what Jesus speaks to the people of the believers in the New Testament today. If we do not repent, we will not be saved.

In Matthew 14, when Jesus was walking on the water, Peter left the boat and walked on the water for a while. To leave the boat means to abandon all human experience and reason and only follow the word of the Lord. The rest of the disciples were scared and could not get out of the boat. Jesus said to turn to Peter. But when Peter saw the storm and was afraid, he fell into the water, and Jesus himself delivered it. In Matthew 16, Jesus asked Peter, ``Who do you think I am?'' He replied, ``You are the Christ and the living Son of God.''

This is the first time Jesus is speaking to his disciples. I will die by people. But in three days he will be resurrected. Peter said, "Never should that ever happen to you." Jesus said to Peter, "Go back, Satan, you are the one who tries to knock me down." Salvation is not in the conviction of the heart, it is a life of conversion. Even if a person believes, they are not saved, but a life of conversion is a life of salvation. It is turning from one's master life to the life of Jesus being master. The life of Jesus as master is to take up his cross. To bear the cross is to fight the life of one's master.

In Hebrews 12:4, Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. The ultimate goal of resisting even the bleeding becomes a life of self-denial, because in the heart of Self there is an idol of greed. Ultimately, if we don't deny ourselves, we're going to deny Jesus. Jesus said, "If a man denies me, I will also deny him before Heavenly Father." Jesus' disciples abandoned Jesus on the cross, and Peter denied Jesus three times. This means that if we do not turn back, when we encounter a situation like this, everyone will deny Jesus. So who is the master is the key to salvation.

In order for Jesus to become master, he must deny himself. That is why the Bible says to be dead on the cross with Jesus. Many people think that if you confess and ask for forgiveness, your sins are forgiven. That is why they believe that they can reach salvation. However, Romans 6:7 says, "The dead are freed from sin and are justified." Many people believe that Jesus' death is for me and that his blood replaces my sins. However, that is not salvation, but only when his death is united with me can escape from sin and reach salvation. To escape from sin is to escape from sin strictly.
