Luke 20:9-19

(Luke 20:9-19)

Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time. And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.  And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.  And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out. Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.  But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.  So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?  He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.  And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.  And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them

This parable is about an evil farmer. And the Pharisees and the scribes are deprived of the kingdom of God, and the Gentiles who bear fruit receive the kingdom of God. When looking at the parts mentioned in the Bible about the salvation of the Gentiles, the centurion's faith is introduced in Matthew 8:11-12. The centurion was a Roman, but his servant (Jew) was ill, and he wanted Jesus to heal him. By the way, he believed that if he did not come in person, he would be corrected by words. That is why Jesus heals and speaks. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

It is a story that the Gentiles are saved first. In Matthew 20:16, the owner of the vineyard decided on a denarion for the laborer's daily wage and sent the laborer into the vineyard. The owner went out at the third, sixth, and ninth, and sent the laborers into the vineyard at the eleventh. So, when the first hired worker protested to the owner of the vineyard, the owner did what he had contracted. In the parable of the vineyard, he said, "Like this, the last will be first, and the first will be the last." It means that the Jews come later, and the Gentiles come first.

Also in Luke 14:24, For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper. In Isaiah 49:6, And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. It is important to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Before this parable, there is a parable of two sons, but the eldest son did not go after saying he would go to the vineyard. However, the younger son said he would not go and then repented and went. Jesus asked the question, "Who did the Father's will?" The Jews replied, "The second son." Therefore, Jesus said that publicans and prostitutes would enter heaven before the Pharisees. The publican and the prostitute mean the second son. The tax collectors and the prostitutes did what their father wanted. However, he gave the law to his first son, Israel, and through the law he wanted to convict of sin and cry out in pain, but he did not. By the way, the tax collectors and the prostitutes were in pain, and they cried out and Jesus visited them.

They have produced the proper fruits of repentance. They didn't try anything, but they cried out to God. So, the fruit of repentance can be understood as crying out after realizing that you have left God. Jesus said this parable and gave the parable of the evil farmer in the vineyard.

One household is God. Vineyard means Israel. The owner of the vineyard gave the farmers a lease and went to another country. The farmer symbolizes the Israelites. God gave the Israelites the law, let them see if they did it according to the law in the temple, and if they could not live, they made sacrifices. of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. Proceeding is to realize that you are a sinner through the law. Servants are prophets. Israel killed their servants. God sent the last servant (John the Baptist) to cry out for repentance. Eventually, Israel also killed John. By the way, God sent a Son (Christ), and Israel killed the Son.This is an heir, so we want to kill it and make that inheritance ours. They think they can achieve God's righteousness with the law.I will destroy those farmers and give the vineyard to others.
